Effective Date: March 5, 2026

LinguaBite Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates the LinguaBite mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.

By using LinguaBite, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.2 Information Generated by Your Use

1.3 Information Collected Automatically

1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

Your learning progress, bookmarks, and preferences are stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. On Android the database files themselves are encrypted with AES-256 (SQLCipher), using a key generated on your device and held in the Android Keystore — it is never transmitted to us and we cannot recover it. On iOS the same data is protected by the operating system's own file encryption, which is tied to your device passcode. This data remains on your device unless you create an account and enable cloud sync.

3.2 Cloud Storage

If you create an account, your data is synced to our cloud infrastructure hosted by Supabase (supabase.com), which uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centres in the European Union. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.

3.3 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures including:
